Hunter Education

This program is for the hunter to obtain an understanding of sportsmanship and gun safety. Hunters will also be given information on hunting seasons in the natural state.

Anyone born after December 31, 1968 must complete a hunter's education coures to hunt in Arkansas. You may get more informationfrom the Arkansas Game and Fish by calling 1-800-482-5795 or by visiting their site at www.agfc.com.


Who needs a Hunter Education card?

Hunters born after December 1968 must have and carry a Hunter Education card. This also includes permit hunts for youth. Any hunter under 16 does not need a Hunters Education card when accompanied by a hunter with a valid hunting license that is at least 21 years of age.
